Stern, owner of Burlington Acupuncture
 |
Nicole Stern, Licensed
Acupuncturist, is a graduate of New England School of Acupuncture
where she earned her Masters of Acupuncture. Nicole practices both
Japanese and Chinese acupuncture as well as Tui Na, a massage
therapy. Nicole has worked with many different patient populations.
She has treated clients for drug and alcohol addiction while during
her internship at the Dimock Community Health Center in Roxbury, MA.
While working at the Pathways to Complimentary Medicine in Boston,
MA (formerly known as the AIDS Care Project), most of her clientele
were being treated for HIV / AIDS related symptoms and conditions.
Today, her patients seek acupuncture for a variety of
conditions, from muscular-skeletal pain to autoimmune disorders.
Nicole especially enjoys working with children, in which she uses a
non-insertive needle technique that is both gentle yet very
effective for common pediatric conditions such as asthma and chronic
colds. While acupuncture can treat a wide variety of conditions,
during a course of treatment, Nicole will occasionally use
moxibustion, a type of herbal heat therapy and may recommend dietary
and/or lifestyle changes. Nicole strives to provide each client with
a treatment course tailored to his or her specific needs and
conditions in order to achieve balance and restore the healing
process. |
